Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, the Public Relations Manager will be a part of the larger Brand Marketing and Communications department full of individuals with varying backgrounds who are just as creative as they are strategic, and who have the most fun when we get to be both at the same time. We pride ourselves on telling Taylor Morrisons story to all stakeholdersemployees, homebuyers, shareholders and the media alike.

As a Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for shaping Taylor Morrisons media relations strategy at both a national and local level.
This opportunity is in Scottsdale, AZ in the corporate office and will be office-centric hybrid. There will be flexibility to work from home a couple of days per week following training and depending on needs of the business.

We trust that as a Public Relations Manager you will: (responsibilities)
- Develop and execute proactive media relations strategy and content that results in strategic coverage to support the brand.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with press, news media, and outside partnerships. Pitch and secure media nationally and locally, including print, broadcast and online outlets.
- Write press materials and messaging in partnership with divisions and key functions for newsworthy announcements. Materials include press releases, pitches, media brief bookings, talking points and scripts.
- Stay abreast of ever-changing PR landscape and best practices in the field, research and identify trends, explore new opportunities, and bring forward creative ideas and campaigns.
- Coach and media train leaders for media opportunities; serve as company spokesperson when appropriate.
- Support crisis communications strategy.
- Manage general press inquiries and requests.
- Work collaboratively alongside Director of Communications and Sr. Manager, Public Relations, to support daily operations of PR Department.

About you:
- At least 5 years of hands-on public relations experience; experience working in a PR agency or for major brands strongly preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Journalism, MassCommunications/Media,Public Relations, Marketing, English, Communications or related field, or other relevant experience.
- Established press and media relationships across digital, broadcast and print preferred.
- Passionate about pitching, building media relationships and generating new story angles.
- Adaptable to evolving strategies and directives and willing to bring new ideas forward.
- Works well under pressure and can confidently navigate crisis communications.
- Exceptionally strong writer proficient in AP style and who isnt afraid to push the boundaries of traditional PR writing.
- Proven ability to manage and navigate competing priorities, deadlines and projects.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative to champions projects and outcomes.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
