*D.R. Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for a*Region NPDES Manager*. The right candidate will assist in the management of regional compliance with respect to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems and its federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements including Clean Water Act Sections 301, 402, and 404 which govern environmental permitting and compliance with particular emphasis in storm water pollution prevention and wetland protection.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Examine and review current practices and assist in the development and implementation of strategies and improvements, when necessary, to ensure compliance. Develop improvements when necessary to on-going inspection and quality control practices and procedures to ensure compliance for each division within the region
Maintain a full understanding and practical knowledge of federal and state NPDES requirements to ensure compliance. Obtain and/or maintain a full understanding and practical knowledge of the relevant local requirements within the region to ensure compliance
Examine and review related contracts to ensure consistency and compliance with policies of Federal, State, Local EPA and/or US ACOE as well as company policy and objectives
Examine and review, develop, implement, and maintain as necessary ongoing division level education and training program regarding environmental compliance
Examine and review internal documents and records for federal, state and local municipality compliance, provide recommendations when necessary to ensure compliance
Assist each division in developing, adopting, and achieving cost-efficient/effective measures
Remain updated to any innovative structural and non-structural BMPs to include training and education
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Ability to travel overnight
Provide recurrent review of division practices, procedures, documentation policies, and education along with day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements
Examine, review, and revise, if necessary, Notices of Intent/Transfers/Modifications and Terminations of Federal, State and local storm water discharge and wetland permits prior to submittal
Examine and review environmental inspections and act as a liaison to regulatory agencies and help in providing appropriate responses to same as necessary to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations

*Required Qualifications*
Associates Degree or equivalent
Five years of related experience
CPESC, CESSWI, and CISEC certifications
All required state level certifications within the region
Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers license
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; climb, balance and stoop, crouch or crawl; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision
Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is generally loud
