*Job Summary:*



*** Support the Mid-Atlantic Region legal team in managing responsibilities of the Mid-Atlantic Region Legal Department, which includes the operations of 6 states (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia)*



*Essential Job Functions:*



*** Review and summarize certain real estate acquisition agreements under the supervision of a Region attorney*

*** Coordinate the request for environmental studies and coordinate with outside vendors regarding the same*

*** Assist Region Legal team in managing and coordinating contract review and approval of real estate acquisition agreements, leases and other real estate and finance related documents*

*** Assist Region Legal team in review of disclosures*

*** Maintain database of Region litigation matters*

*** Maintain lease database for Region and Division offices*

*** Maintain database for certain home sale matters*

*** Assist in the maintenance of contractors licenses and real estate broker licenses for Division offices*

*** Assist in the preparation and maintenance of contract status tracking, as needed*

*** Assist in managing and coordinating the review of other contractual matters*

*** Assist with the preparation of presentation materials relating to land and lot acquisitions, diligence and related matters*

*** Assist with the filing and archiving of documents *
***Correspond with outside attorneys regarding diligence matters*
*** Support the Mid-Atlantic Legal Department with the management of miscellaneous projects*
*** Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the Company*
*** Ability to work overtime*
*** Ability to occasionally travel overnight *

*** Regular and reliable attendance*










*Required Qualifications*

* *

*** Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred*

*** Two to six years of related real estate experience and/or training*

*** Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DHI applications*

*** Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)*

*** Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday*

*** The noise level is generally moderate*
