We have an immediate opportunity for multiple RESIDENT ENGINEERs to work from our office in NEW YORK CITY, NY supporting Transit facility, Infrastructure, airport, bridge, tunnel and port projects for PANYNJ.
  
The Resident Engineer will be responsible to serve as the WSP senior site representative providing leadership and direction to our on-site project administration and inspection team.  Scope of responsibility includes:
  • Construction contract administration
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control
  • Project information management
  • Schedule management
  • Cost control and compliance
  • Safety oversight
  • Staff management
  • Client interface and coordination
  • Third party stakeholder coordination
Job Duties Include: 
  • Consultant contract management
  • Meeting all contract deliverables
  • Organization and management of inspection staff, office staff and subconsultants
  • Serving as the on-site primary point of contact with the client
  • Preparing and implementing a Project Specific Management Plan to include:
    • Project organization
    • Communication protocol
    • Quality assurance/Quality control plan
    • Safety Plan
    • Project information management system
  • Inspecting work performed by contractors for compliance with contract documents, applicable codes and reference standards
  • Monitoring contractors' schedule and offering solutions to potential delays
  • Facilitating cooperation among all stakeholders
  • Overseeing and expediting the submittal process
  • Monitoring contractor’s safety compliance  
  • Overseeing and/or preparing project reports including
    • Inspector daily reports
    • Non-conformance reports
    • Weekly RE progress reports
    • Monthly Project Progress
    • Other special reports as may be directed
  • Management of the final testing and commissioning
  • Coordinating final inspection, project close out and turn-over

Requirements
