WSP is currently initiating a search for a RESIDENT ENGINEER- TRANSIT ELECTRICAL for New York, New York.
 
JOB SUMMARY: Guides and coordinates a team of construction field inspectors on critical NYCT electrical infrastructure projects. The candidate must demonstrate a solid knowledge of electrical construction including traction power, and good engineering judgment in providing oversight and inspection of engineering projects of significant importance.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:   
 
  • Maintain Client satisfaction of construction inspection and monitoring services
  • Direct and manage a team of construction inspectors and engineers
  • Review and respond to contractor requests for information
  • Enforce compliance with the contract documents
  • Observe contractor performance for compliance with project safety protocol
  • Interact with construction contractors in performance of Quality Assurance inspections
  • Maintain schedule, budget and profitability of assigned projects
  • Prepare monthly reports
  • Track construction progress and verify contractor payments

Requirements
