RF Systems Integration & Test Engineer

Location: Sterling, VA, United States


Echo Ridge, a Parsons company is seeking to hire an Electronics, and RF Communications Technician/ Engineer with thorough knowledge of electronics systems and components for manufacturing, operation, troubleshooting, and repair. We're looking for someone with military training and/or experience with tactical communication assets and capabilities. This person should be flexible and versatile with a broad technical background in operational and equipment readiness, analysis, and material management. We dynamic, and analytical team player with excellent organizational and technical skills.

Required Experience:

  • Responsible for assembling hardware, installing software, and testing various Software Defined Radio systems.

  • Ability to use test equipment, such as RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and more.

  • Ability to follow and/or author HW and SW integration and test processes and procedures.

  • Electronic assembly.

  • Field testing.

  • Proficient with Microsoft tools and possibly Linux.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. Active Secret preferred.

  • No minimum education requirement. Specialized training or experience with RF technology preferred.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Software Defined Radios.

  • Software experience with one or more of the following: Python, C, C++, Protobuf, zmq, Jenkins, Bash.

  • Experience with requirements management.

  • Familiarity with SVN and/or GitLab or other configuration management tools.

  • Expertise with tactical radio assets, to include High Frequency (HF)/ Very High Frequency (VHF)/ Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radios, Satellite Communication equipment, Communication Interface System (CIS) equipment and Tactical Data Networking components.

  • Experience with Digital Switching and Networking System (DSANS) and the associated communication equipment.

  • Experience with the operation and capabilities of tactical radios assets, to include radios PRC-117F/G, PRC-150, PRC-152/A, VRC-103, and VRC-104.

  • Familiarity with military COMSEC procedures/policies, including the use of devices PYQ-10 and CYZ-10.
