PC is seeking a Safety Specialist to serve several water treatment projects in Atlanta, Georgia including one of the largest Water Supply Program projects in the country. This position is responsible for implementing and living PC’s “Safety Starts With Me Culture”. This position is a key member of our safety team, working with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure that PC maintains and improves our EMR year after year through a combination of compliance, enforcement and collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure PC’s safety policies are in keeping with OSHA, other safety regulations and company initiatives.
• Assist project teams in the preparation of site-specific safety programs.
• Communicate all Company safety initiatives to ensure the highest level of awareness.
• Conduct New Employee Safety Orientation.
• Assist staff in oversight of site safety.
• Help resolve disputes in safety matters.
• Help develop an overall culture of safety with a focus on people.
• Conduct safety performance meetings with administrative staff.
• Evaluate the status of field and supervisory employees’ completion of required training. Conduct training or arrange outside training resources on policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
