WSP is currently initiating a search for a Schematic and Environmental Team Lead (Senior Engineering Manager)for our Texas Mountain Region to focus on TxDOT Schematic and Environmental Engineering services across the state of Texas.
This position can be based out of any of our WSP USA Texas regional offices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  •  Pursue, win, and lead project teams in delivering task assignments associated with TxDOT Schematic and NEPA Services
  • Work in all aspects of transportation projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering to final design (PS&E)
  • Oversee design teams on various project tasks, including training and supervision
  • Manage projects by maintaining schedule, budget, and profitability of assignments
  • Actively support quality control methods and policies
  • Assist with business development efforts and participate in proposal preparation
  • Attend design review meetings and interact with clients
  • Champion positive team relationships
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts for TxDOT
  • Other duties as assigned

<div>Minimum Qualifications:</div> <ul> <li>At least 15 years of experience in the planning, schematic development, design, NEPA management, and management of transportation projects. Experience with Public Involvement and Stakeholder Coordination is preferred.</li> <li>Proven success in leading staff and delivering engineering services for a variety of infrastructure improvements</li> <li>Experience in pursuing TxDOT Schematic and Environmental projects.</li> <li>Direct experience with TxDOT policies and procedures</li> <li>Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with all levels of employees in an organization</li> <li>Self-starter capable of completing tasks with minimal oversight</li> <li>Ability to technically develop members of project team</li> <li>Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or the ability to earn a license in the State of Texas</li> <li>BSCE in Civil or Transportation Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div><strong>About WSP USA </strong></div> <div><strong> </strong></div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms. Dedicated to serving local communities, we are engineers, planners, technical experts, strategic advisors and construction management professionals. WSP USA designs lasting solutions in the transportation, buildings, energy, water and environment sectors.
