Position Summary:
The Inspire Home Loans Secondary Marketing Analyst has primary responsibility for the Optimal Blue pricing system administration and lock desk function and during the hours the secondary market is open. This includes verifying pricing and commitment periods, generating daily rate sheets, monitoring rate lock activity and locking loans with investors in compliance with policies and procedures. Contribute proactively to the Secondary team in a growing company.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot Optimal Blue pricing system issues with vendor help desk and applicable Inspire internal departments, and any other applicable contact. Provide direction to IT on Loan Officer set up.
  • Coordinate Lock Desk vendor inquiries - answer, troubleshoot, research and provide solutions to solve issues, both long term vs short term.
  • Process improvements – Provide assistance to the team by researching and initiating solutions.
  • Maintain pricing margins and all data integrity in Optimal Blue system – regular/periodic testing and data integrity and comparison between systems. Upload rates and maintain servicing released premium (SRP) pricing.
  • Problem Solving – conduct deep dive into system and process issues and coordinate with internal partners (i.e. IT, Production) to troubleshoot and find solutions.
  • Lock policies – make periodic updates to lock procedures and job aids, as needed.
  • Manage Secondary Mailbox and bring issues to the attention of manager – issues must be researched so cause is known and can be remedied.
  • Interface with Investors’ trade desks on pricing, pair offs and individual trade price inquiries
  • Verify and confirm daily locks submitted through the LOS and Optimal Blue systems and ensures accurate pricing and reconciles data between the systems.
  • Monitors rate lock activity and responds to all re-lock and extension requests in a timely manner
  • Locks loans with investors in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Prepares and distributes daily rate sheet; issues intra-day updates, as necessary
  • Generates the daily pipeline report and manages expiration and delivery dates of loan sale commitments to ensure loans are delivered to the investor prior to expiration
  • Produces analytic reporting on pull-through and prepares detailed reporting on trends and characteristics of loans sold
  • Work with members of Post Closing team to resolve pricing questions and extend commitments if needed.
  • Updates SRP values and PAR rates weekly
  • Returns all phone calls received, including from Investors, Inspire Home Loans staff, Century Communities staff, escrow or title representatives, etc. for calls received prior to 3:00pm by the end of the day, and all calls received after 3:00pm by 10:00am the next day.
  • Perform any and all other duties at the direction of their manager

Knowledge, Skills and Background:

  • Must demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and customer service
  • Two years/ experience in the secondary mortgage market and/or rate lock desk

Education and Experience

  • College Degree
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Excel, Optimal Blue pricing system and loan origination systems, Encompass preferred Prior experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment
