WSP USA is currently looking for an Senior Area Manager for the Inland Empire (Office in San Bernardino) and the Orange County (Office in the City of Orange) area, based in San Bernardino, California. 
 
The Area Manager will lead and expand all markets in transportation and infrastructure, support diversification and growth, drive strategic direction, and lead the operation for financial and staffing growth. 
 
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with the Southwest District Manager in growing the WSP presence throughout the Inland Empire (San Bernardino and Riverside Counties) and Orange County.  In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Business Manager, Regional Business Development Director, Regional Operations Manager, the various Americas Technical Excellence Centers (ATECs), and the Regional TEC Managers to support the strategic direction of the West Region of WSP USA.
 
Stimulating client success is one of WSP USA’s driving tenets. With a rich and resonant history in the Inland Empire and Orange County, WSP has engaged in projects such as I-15 Project Report/Environmental Document (SBCTA), I15 Program Management (RCTC) and Program Management for TCA for over 30 years.  Currently, WSP i has an On-Call Transit/Rail Contract with SBCTA, will soon be starting on the Network Project Study Report for RCTC. Having played a key role in delivering some of the largest over 30 years in the three counties.  WSP continues to build and foster relationships, and actively position for projects that will be issued throughout the state.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships with new and existing clients in the area
  • Maintain a strong focus on business development and marketing for both new and existing clients
  • Drive performance of the business, strategically grow our market share and become a preferred provider to our clients.
  • Be a recognized leader in the local community
  • Work with other West Region Area Managers in balancing work-load in business development opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the PM/CM and Advisory service sectors to provide the full range of services to Inland Empire and Orange County clients
  • Address and resolve conflict and other internal/external issues that may arise in the office, amongst the client base, or on projects
  • Coordinate efforts with our Human Resources group, strategically driving the business, managing project performance, overseeing overhead expenditures, and managing the financial metrics involved with running the business.

Requirements
