WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Civil Engineer (Project Manager) to join our Northern New England Transportation Engineering Team to work on exciting and complicated projects. Position will be based out of our Manchester, New Hampshire project office.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design and production of highway design plans, specifications and estimates
  • Work with and lead intradisciplinary teams focusing on roadway components
  • Development of complex TTCP plans for a variety of local agencies
  • Mentor junior staff and cutivate talent within the team
  • Critical Problem Solving and Thinking
  • Business Development and Proposal Writing
  • Technical Writing As Necesssary
  • Attendance of Professional Society Events
  • Potential additional responsibilites based on Candidate include: coordination and oversight, scope, schedule and cost control, progress reporting, issue resolution, etc. 
  • Successful candidate may represent WSP at project meetings and deal directly with Client
  • Oversite and responsibility of a variety of design and construction engineering tasks in support of the projects and other related design and construction projects
  • Contribute to constructability/design coordination for structures and as necessary other disciplines (track, civil/site, facility, etc.) for the program including the review of plans and specifications

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • NH Professional Engineering License (PE) or the ability to obtain.  Registered in multiple states, a plus.
  • At least 7-9 years’ experience in an engineering office with a focus on the NHDOT, MaineDOT, VTrans or other state transportation projects.
  • Successful candidates must have the ability to work both independently and within a team environment with the capability to delegate and supervise tasks to support staff.
  • Strong writing skills to support technical reporting as well as strong oral communication skills are required.
  • Strong MicroStation and Inroads skills are required.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
