Job Description


Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
Developing the project CPM schedule based on Owner specification requirements as well as Lane standard practices.
Understanding of resource leveling. Understand the need for crew logic in the development of the construction plan and that it will need to be revisited and adjusted as the project progresses.
Create a baseline schedule narrative, as well as creating and maintaining the monthly schedule narrative as a stand-alone document to support the CPM schedule.
Assisting in the development of time impact and delay analysis for claims.
Monitoring and updating accurate schedule progress towards achieving the desired project completion date and informing the project management team of changes to schedule outcome.
o Coordinating with engineering department to gather needed data to progress schedule activities.
o Daily site visits to verify completed work and activity status as well as maintaining the project progress photos.
o Review of the quantity book to review completed quantities to determine percent complete.
o Ability to take verbal direction from the project management team on a change to the construction sequencing or crew logic and able to change the associated logic in the CPM based on this direction.
Create and maintain 5-week look-ahead schedules derived from the CPM Schedule, under direction of the Construction Manager / Project Manager and Superintendents. Includes reviewing the schedule with superintendents and the project management team.
Ensure the 5-week plan is followed as planned and matches with the project CPM Schedule. If there are inconsistencies, able to communicate what effect the variation will have on the CPM schedule to the project management team.
Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis. Maintain records of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
o Provide reports to the project team to be used at the planning meetings such as; 3-month look-ahead, Critical Path, Prior-period performance reports
Produce accurate revenue & cost projections from the schedule.
Provide projections for crews, materials, and major equipment from the schedule.
Assure the credibility of the information contained in the schedule.
At the completion of the project, assists in developing and recording the projects historical schedule information and lessons learned, for use on future projects.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree from a four-year university or equivalent experience is required.BS in Civil Engineering preferred
5-10 Years of Construction Experience in Heavy Infrastructure Projects
On-site construction management experience as Project Engineer level or above preferred
Proficient in Primavera P6 Scheduling Software, or the ability to learn.Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel
Thorough understanding field concepts, practices, and procedures, specific to heavy highway construction.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Understanding of estimating bid documentation and project cost tracking and reports. HCSS and JDE experience a plus
