WSP is currently initiating a search for a SharePoint Farm Administrator for our Sacramento, CA office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
SharePoint Farm Administration and Management: build, configure, monitor and maintain the SharePoint Services, solutions, and features deployment and configuration.
Primary tasks include:
  • Server- and farm-level administration for AWS-hosted farms.
  • Site collection and site management.
  • Farm and site security configuration.
  • Workflow management.
  • Configuration of custom development and third-party solutions.
  • Troubleshoot errors and service disruptions as they arise.
  • Training including creating printable materials and hands-on instruction.
SharePoint Information Management Architect: manages enterprise level metadata, content types, and site columns to ensure well-defined content ownership has been defined.
Responsibilities are:
  • Provides recommendations/plans for information architecture for site collection templates.
  • Builds the information architecture for standard site templates as well as unique line of business projects with more specialized requirements.
  • Maintains the Content Hub, ensuring the content types and metadata sources are up to date.
  • Manages the syndication of content types and metadata.
  • Maintains and expands the Metadata Management Service and the all Enterprise-level term sets.
  • Sets the content maintenance requirements within tenant sites types templates.
  • Establishes and implements controls around Governance Plan.
  • Promotes Information and Content Management best practices.
  • Configuration of custom development and third-party solutions.
  • SharePoint Farm security configuration and administration.
  • Permissions management.
Develops models and analytics of the current business process:
  • Chart existing business processes to define current business activities for the development of procedures and models.
  • Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational goals and objectives for Program Management Information System.
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of process analysis to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.
Derive comprehensive, scalable and flexible design of forthcoming processes and/or applications:
  • Prototype new procedures for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving business processes across the Authority and Rail Delivery Partners.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses for proposed changes to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of process analysis to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.
SharePoint Solution Development and Support:
  • Build and support solutions that fit into requirements gathered by the Governance Board and SharePoint Architects, while adhering to established standards
  • Build branding and UI components.
  • Build workflows, web parts, reports, and forms.
  • Participate in design tasks as needed.
  • Participate in development and testing as needed.
  • Provide support for developed solutions.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain new or improved processes based on findings and analysis.
  • Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support Program Management Information System procurement efforts
  • Support and Training including creating printable materials and hands-on instruction
