SUMMARY

The Site Manager is responsible for providing overall management direction for all site-specific functions. Ability to run major projects, supervise site staff as required, train Project Assistants. Develop new business opportunities and maintain positive customer relations regarding site sustaining projects relative to the particular site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Supervise all site office activities including personnel administration, performance review, etc.
  2. Maintain a complete knowledge of the status of all site projects. Instill and promote a "win-win" attitude with the Project Managers to ensure successful, profitable work for the company as well as a satisfied customer. Conduct weekly project reviews. Coordinate efforts with Division Manager.
  3. Monitor overall quantity and quality of work performed by the site office. Select/assign project team members based on their experience and the needs of the project.
  4. Assume additional responsibilities as required by the site office's operating needs or as directed by the Division Manager.
  5. Perform all duties as described in the description of Senior Project Manager.
  6. The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position’s role within the business unit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 year Technical/Business administration degree or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in the construction industry.
  • Can be a c ombination of education, training and relevant experience

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

  • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of construction required.
  • Makes decisions and recommendations which can greatly affect profitability of site office.
  • Makes significant independent judgments.
  • Responsible for careful observance of policies and objectives.
  • Position requires proficient business development, marketing and sales skills.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

TRAVEL:

  • Up to 25%

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
