Work with a team that has brought 150+ solar and energy storage projects worldwide totaling nearly 3GW.  Company is a solar and energy storage development, finance, EPC, and asset management organization. 

About the Position:

Community Development Director (Southeast) with a particular focus on Tennessee, Virginia, and broadened scope to extend to NC, SC, GA, FL.  This person will track all material solar / energy storage policy and utility developments in the Southeast region, advise on IOU programs and local municipal and cooperative power companies (LPC) for investment and manage local business and community relations in support of greenfield project development outreach with towns, counties and utilities.  

REQUIREMENTS

•   5+ Years in the solar industry with Community Solar or small utility project development experience (2 - 20mw)
• Proven (quantitative results) experience in driving business development, including project proposal development and presentation.
• Existing relationships with Local Power Companies in the Southeast 
• Experience engaging in relevant policy and interconnection working groups
• Understanding of regional solar program policies, interconnection processes
• Understanding of local competitive program offerings

Additional Information

Location:  Remote - preference to be based in Tennessee, Virginia, and other locations within the Southeast will be considered depending on candidate's experience.

Travel: 50-70% travel
