Plan, organize and direct foreman and craft team members based on the project schedule and state and federal requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Accountabilities

  •  Reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  •  Supervise and coordinate activities of foreman and their assigned craft workers
  •  Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders
  •  Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
  •  Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge capacities of equipment and  assigned personnel
  •  Study/analyze in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
  •  Analyze and resolve work problems
  •  Maintain time records
  •  May make cost estimate for contracts
  • Use logical step-by-step procedures in work
  • Plan work and solve problems
  • Make decisions based on measurable information
  • May operate machinery
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of five years of related experience
  • All team members are expected to be in alignment with and contribute to the Mortenson Construction values and ethical standards as stated in the Mortenson Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
  • All team members are responsible to understand and abide by the procedures and practices outlined in the Mortenson Operations Manual.
