About the Position:
Hiring for a Solar Preconstruction Manager, with a background in construction estimating and project management, responsible for developing budgetary pricing estimates to support acquisition efforts within all company portfolios. This role requires the management of all stakeholders during the preconstruction process (developers, investors, legal, construction, engineering, etc.), networking with key EPC suppliers, managing engineering work (geotechnical, civil, etc.), managing Request for Proposal (RFP) efforts, and the overall operations management of preconstruction activities from development through project kick-off.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in utility-scale or distributed generation (DG) solar construction estimating and project management.
A 4-year degree in Construction, Engineering or related fields of study.
Relevant training and certifications such as prior/current trade licensure, OSHA10/30, PMP are preferred.
Strong familiarity with construction and electrical codes.
Expertise in contract negotiations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawing sets.
