Sr. Land Financial Analyst
Job Description Summary
As a Senior Land Analyst/Specialist working for Taylor Morrison you will be responsible to provide financial administration and project coordination to the Land Department and work with Land Department team to assist with timely delivery of projects. Additionally, you will assist with the identification, evaluation and acquisition of properties that competitively position the Division for success.
Job Details
We trust that as a Senior Financial Analyst you will: (responsibilities)
- Develop and update 3-year financial cash flow forecast acting as a strategic partner to the Land and Finance teams on capital deployment.
- Analyze and report monthly on actual vs forecasted results
- Maintain ongoing 6-week land cash forecast
- Manage lot inventory including lot closings and lot sales
- Coordinate lot takedowns and lot sales with sellers, buyers, banks, and the respective title company
- Assist in tracking and scheduling new community openings and attend related meetings
- Prepare and submit development draw packages to banks
- Maintain lot takedown spreadsheet in compliance with contractual obligations
- Assist in earnest money reconciliations
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and valuation analysis of districts including PIDs, MUDs, and MMDs.
- Assist with the management of all activities of joint ventures, including assisting with cash flow forecasts and capital call and distribution schedules
- Prepare reports for master planned communities
- Track new and existing acquisition opportunities
- Run financial proformas to assist in underwriting deals, including analyzing multiple sensitivity scenarios
- Organize and maintain detailed electronic and paper files for all land acquisition opportunities
- Read and understand land contracts and translate any operational and financial implications to deals
- Collaborate with various departments including Architecture, Purchasing, Finance, and Construction

About you:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Civil Engineering, Planning, Construction Management or Business
- 3- 5 years of experience in finance, land acquisition, or land development
- Ability to analyze market and financial data to drive decision making process
- Self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Strong work ethic and sharp attention to detail
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
FLSA Status: Exempt

Physical Demands:
