WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Transportation Project Manager in the San Francisco/Oakland, CA area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage multi-million-dollar contract(s) for highway and transit/rail clients to deliver technical excellence and quality work in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
  • Work closely with client to identify areas of needs and develop scopes schedules, budgets and resources to address those needs.
  • Bring a “best practice” mindset with an eye to constant improvement and quality in delivery of work products.
  • Perform marketing and networking activities to develop and maintain strong client relationships, expand work, and assist with developing strategic teaming partners.
  • Mentor and develop technical capabilities of mid-level and junior staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience with specific, demonstrated Design Manager and/or Project Manager experience for highway and/or transit/rail projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.  CA PE or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Demonstrated experience in the role of Project/Design Manager
  • Demonstrated Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to foster collaboration between technical and management teams working from other locations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program management experience
  • Civil Infrastructure, systems or interface design experience
