Our Texas/Mountain Region Structures Technical Excellence Center (TEC) has an immediate opening for a Structural Team Manager to drive the continuous profitability and growth of our three Structures groups in Texas.  In addition, the candidate will serve as the local TEC Lead at our Austin, Texas office.  The Structural Team Manager will focus on business development, marketing, and project pursuits that will help to further strengthen our presence in the Texas market. This person will provide leadership to a talented group of professionals spanning all career levels as they work on a multitude of transportation projects. The Structural Team Manager will rely upon Bridge and Structural Engineering background to excel at client relations, business development and mentoring staff.
A typical day may include supervising staff, supervising project management tasks, meeting with clients and stakeholders, and providing oversight and/or management of the proposal preparation process. 


<div>The Structural Team Manager role requires:</div> <div> <ul> <li>Minimum of 17 years of experience;</li> <li>Bachelor of Science degree (Civil or Structural Engineering) from an ABET-accredited institution;</li> <li>Master's degree is preferred;</li> <li>A current Texas P.E. registration or ability to obtain P.E. within 6 months.</li> </ul> </div> <div> </div> <div>The right Candidate must also have experience in the following areas:</div> <ul> <li>Responsible for overall direction and management of the structures discipline in the Texas region</li> <li>Leads growth and development of the Structures engineering team, including interfacing with the Area Manager, meeting with clients to develop and expand work, and strategically teaming with other consultants</li> <li>Performance in a range of marketing and business development activities, including gathering client intelligence, leading pursuits and proposals, and interfacing through professional organizations</li> <li>Management of tasks as part of project development, including plan and report production</li> <li>Experience with interface among staff from a range of other disciplines (traffic, civil, planning, geotechnical, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects</li> <li>Improve overall quality and delivery of projects throughout discipline</li> <li>Assists in supporting agency coordination, permitting, and public participation activities.</li> <li>Experience working on large, multi-discipline, infrastructure capital projects</li> <li>Strong project management skills and experience</li> <li>Strong technical skills relevant to bridge/ structural design and analysis</li> <li>Experience with pursuing, leading and delivering Design-Build constructs</li> <li>Working experience with marketing, business development, project pursuits, and proposal preparation</li> <li>Experience mentoring and developing technical capabilities of mid-level and junior staff</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Strong (proven) interpersonal skills</li> <li>Preference given to local candidates</li> </ul> <div class="O0"> </div> <div>The Team Manager –Structures must be able to excel in technical, business development, marketing, and project management roles.
