WSP, an award‑winning and innovative multi‑disciplinary engineering consulting firm has an opening for a Sustainability Coordinator in our  Boston, MA office. WSP works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.

Our Designers and Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full  Sustainability Coordinator – Boston, MA
WSP, a world-class multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator for the Built Ecology group in our Boston, MA office. We work closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.
About the Job:
Built Ecology is WSP’s national Built Environment Sustainability team, providing a broad range of services including sustainability consulting, high performance design and analysis, building certifications, district-scale solutions, education, facilitation, and project management. We work across a wide range of project types and scales, from horizontal planning and district infrastructure, to vertical design and construction, to ongoing performance and operations.
Built Ecology has been directly responsible for driving many leading projects across the globe, including LEED Platinum buildings, Living Building Challenge and WELL projects, net-zero water and energy projects, EcoDistricts, corporate initiatives, and improvements for large building portfolios.  Our solutions are typically innovative, integrated, and practical. Ideal candidates exhibit the following characteristics:
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage a variety of specific tasks with oversight from project managers
  • Support LEED certification and sustainable design assistance scopes
  • Interact with and present work to clients and project teams
  • Provide strategic and technical support and direction to projects that is thoughtful, creative, practical, and effective
  • Facilitate conversations between multiple stakeholders to devise sustainability strategies
  • Produce high quality, visually compelling deliverables
  • Represent Built Ecology in the industry


<div>Requirements:</div> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sustainability, or Built Environment related field</li> <li>1-2 years of professional working experience in sustainable consulting</li> <li>Knowledge of the building design and construction process</li> <li>Knowledge of third-party green building rating systems (LEED, Passive House, LBC, WELL, etc.)</li> <li>Knowledge of sustainable products and services</li> <li>Technical analysis to determine building performance, energy efficiency, daylighting, etc.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information to clients</li> </ul> <div> </div> <div>About WSP USA</div> <div> </div> <div>WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
