Want a leadership role the the next generation of ground systems rollout for the Space Force? Want to take your Engineering expertise to the level leading critical space missions to the enterprise?

Parsons is now seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer with a desire to support US Space Force's Space Systems Command (SSC) Enterprise Ground Service (EGS) SATOPS, Prototyping, and Integration (SPI) program and its goal to deploy a universal command and control architecture aimed at eliminating restrictions by continuously delivering enterprise tactical command and control services and applications that, when integrated with mission partner unique services and applications through the use of system engineering principles, will fully enable today's modern warfighter.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provides a single unified face to the EGS customers starting from the initial engagement, identification of service needs, customization of services, establishment of Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), all the way through continuous integration, test, and iterative delivery.
  • As a lead member of the team, you will help the other team members rapidly develop, test, deploy and support cloud-based (AWS/Azure) and on-premises EGS services to include compute/network/storage (C/N/S) infrastructure and mission required catalogued services.
  • Lead and grow Mid-level and Junior-level engineers performing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis across the team.
  • Direct Mid-level and Junior-level system engineers developing solutions designs based on user's operational needs and new technology.
  • Help lead the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
  • Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), and Trade Studies as needed.
  • Help lead the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
  • Help lead the team in understanding, prioritizing, and prioritizing system featrues, capabilities, and enablers
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Government (SSC/EGS) and FFRDC customer base on approaches and engineered solutions to meet the Mission Partner requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as required, consistent with the goals, objectives, and responsibilities of the department.
  • Guide members the team in gaining a broad knowledge of the catalog services and help them understand how those services can be used to meet Mission Partner requirements and operational objectives.
  • Lead the development of complex services that interface with physical remote systems.
  • Coordinate and interface with Product Owners, Team Leads, and other developers and systems that require application-specific services.
  • Participate in technical and program meetings and contribute to resolution of issues
  • Develop and review technical and program documentation
  • Participate in and provide feedback for continual service improvement

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must possess the ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
    BS + 21 years of experience or MS + 17 years of experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Must have experience in satellite operations

The anticipated annualized full time target compensation (median) for this position is: $198,000.00.
