D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a*_Title Department Manager_***for theirTitleDepartment. The right candidate willbe responsible for the effective overall operational aspects of the Title Department. In addition, the Title Department Manager shall, through actions and conduct, create a positive image of the Company to co-workers, Customers and others.


*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* Identify prospective employees and thereafter recruit and hire qualified staff and subordinates
* Conduct periodic department meetings to communicate Company direction
* Design work practices and procedures to maximize efficiency, minimize costs and minimize errors
* Create programs and plans to motivate and recognize employees who meet and exceed goals; create programs and plans to fairly compensate employees
* Maintain appropriate staffing levels and expense controls
* Establish and maintain relationships, which are social, professional, civic or community in nature, which promote the goodwill of the Company and develops future business
* Prepare and conduct annual performance appraisals, assessments and corrective notices, when applicable
* Make periodic business visits to remote office locations
* Encourage employee development and professional growth by providing regular and timely feedback
* Understand and agree to all Company expense policy procedures
* Support and follow all Company initiatives and procedures
*Supervisory Responsibilities *
Manages 2-3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10-15 employees in the Title Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises 2-5 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

*Education and/or Experience*
* Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) or equivalent; or more than 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* The employee should have advanced knowledge of:
o Real estate financing and conveyance transactions
o Title insurance requirements, policies, endorsements and underwriting procedures
* The employee should have the ability to:
o Supervise, direct and control the working conduct and results of from one (1) to twenty-five (25) staff personnel
o Read, understand, and carryout verbal and written instructions
o Maintain an organized office atmosphere
o Cooperate with and take direction from senior management
o Participate in company-sponsored seminars, meetings and training
