WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Facilities Lead for our Washington, DC  office. The Transportation Facilities Group manages and works on various engineering design projects that are centered on the transportation industry.  These opportunities include buildings, bus and rail maintenance facilities, stations, parking garages, airports, tunnels, etc. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Transportation Facilities Group
  • Strategic Business Development along with Client Interaction
  • Project Management, Budgeting, Scheduling of Construction Documents
  • Hiring Full Range of Staff as needed
  • Become a key asset in the Washington, D.C. office

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Engineering;
  • Professional Engineer in Washington DC
  • 15+ years of transportation design and management experience and be capable of effectively leading tasks and staff
  • Strong knowledge of local clients and/or agency work (WMATA, DDOT, MARC, Amtrak, etc.);
  • Knowledgeable in alternate delivery as well as local contractors;
  • Detailed experience related to facility / building design;
  • Strong knowledge in the development of construction documents;
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, attention to detail and highly organized;
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, able to multi-task and can handle varied projects across varied disciplines;
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures 
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer In Baltimore and/or Virginia
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
