Job Description
The Tunnel Engineer provides engineering services to a large project requiring more complicated engineering tasks or multiple engineers or surveyors. Supervises site engineers, field engineers or surveyors and provides technical and administrative direction as well as employee development.Responsibilities:Coordinate/manage design firms as required (design-build)Study design change alternates or value engineering options (bid-build)Supervise all Tunnel engineeringSupervise TBM excavation parameters, including TBM design, TBM guidance system Assist with management of project resource availability/efficiencyProject decision making/leadership in absence of Construction ManagerCoach and develop staffCarry out job duties while maintaining Lane valuesAnd other duties as assignedQualifications:BS in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementMust have prior Tunnel experience on projects over $100 MillionMinimum 8 years of project engineer experience in tunnel constructionFamiliar with TBM, SEM, Piles construction shoring, and all other underground construction scopes.JDEdwards experience is preferredStrong working knowledge of Excel and WordExcellent verbal and written communication skills#lilanealv
