Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this Vice President will provide strategic leadership and be responsible for leading, developing and managing the Wynwood, Florida office, the National Park Service contract and the execution of teams to drive successful and profitable projects; to include: 

  • Support new business capture efforts to ensure that proposals and bids submitted are executable and profitable as bid
  • Participate in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of program and project execution
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new projects and strategies to lead the improvement efforts of the existing processes
  • Develop and Lead staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside the organization for positions across the country.
  • Drive accountability across the project execution teams to ensure that needs and risks have been assessed and understood for each project to include staffing projections, planning, project budgets, project bidding processes, project scheduling, logistics planning, and subcontractor evaluation
  • Serves in a lead technical role on critical, complex or strategically important project engagements on behalf of the office and leads the efforts of a project team
  • Coordinates activities with departments involved in projects
  • Engages in leadership roles in industry associations and forums
  • Manages all technical, engineering and administrative personnel as assigned

Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Vice President role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • At least (15) years of design and project management experience in the public or private sector focusing on building, transportation and utility projects.
  • At least (10) years of progressively responsible roles with large Federal Construction Projects
  • Must be a Registered Professional Engineer
  • Experience in large complex construction projects with Federal agencies or similar industries
  • Successful track record of developing, leading and managing people and assembling successful teams
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing a team and major projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  • Budget development and oversight experience
  • Must be able to travel
