The Western Regional Safety Director ( Renewables ) is responsible for the administration of multiple project safety programs within a designated region to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Responsibilities include the roll-out and implementation of Corporate Safety Programs. This is a traveling position and you'll have oversight of our Renewables project work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health or related field required
OSHA 500 Construction Certification
Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification and CSP preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to recognize hazardous situations & recommend corrective measures is essential
Thorough understanding of all federal, state and local regulations
Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, record-keeping and follow-up skills
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
TRAVEL:
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General work environment – sitting, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor constructions jobsite settings. Environmental conditions will vary
