PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials. Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blueprints and specifications

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Load and unload equipment and materials
Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials
Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blue prints and specifications
Assist engineering with prints and documentation design
Conducting daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions
Basic problem solving techniques and troubleshooting; as related to welding component parts
General cleanup and clearing of debris
Lifting up to 50 lbs and walking a minimum of 10 miles a day in various weather conditions
All other duties as assigned
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong teamwork orientation
Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, caliper, as well as, methods and techniques used in safe welding operations
Mechanical capacity and mathematical skills.
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches other production orders
Time management skills to meet schedules and time standards, to best of ability as instructed
Strong attention to quality, ability to work independently, and detail orientation
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Welding Certifications and/or technical training (required)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a welder (preferred)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
Possess basic understanding of construction hand tools
Positive professional attitude
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
Ability to adapt to change
Punctual and dependable
