Staffworks Group is seeking a hardworking and dependable Asphalt Plant Laborer to join our team. This position supports daily asphalt plant operations by assisting with maintenance, cleanup, material handling, and general labor duties in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Perform general labor duties around the asphalt plant and yard
Assist plant operators and loader operators with daily operations
Shovel asphalt, gravel, and other materials as needed
Clean and maintain plant equipment, conveyors, and work areas
Assist with plant maintenance and repairs
Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA regulations
Identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues
Work in outdoor environments and around heavy equipment
Support crew members to ensure efficient plant production
Requirements
Previous construction, asphalt, manufacturing, or labor experience preferred
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and shoveling
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance required
Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends when needed
Willingness to learn asphalt plant operations and equipment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in asphalt plants, paving, or construction environments
Knowledge of hand and power tools
Heavy equipment experience is a plus
MSHA certification is a plus
CDL is a plus
