The PlantMechanic will work on a crew at an Asphalt Production Facility. They must possess critical thinking and communicationskills, an ability to learn, a commitment to safety, and a hard working attitude. Mechanical and fabrication skills are necessary and equipment operation experience is beneficial. Travel to our PA asphalt plants in Devault, Coatesville, and Harleysville is required.

Daily, Weekly, Monthly Duties Include:

• Support companys visions, values, and practices as well as our corporate philosophy of Better Faster SAFE.
• Be an active advocate and participant in Allan Myers Safety culture. Adhere to safety policies and make safety your first Priority. Be involved in and support Safe Production Teams
• Plan and perform preventative maintenance tasks to eliminate downtime
• Perform scheduled, breakdown, and winter maintenance repairs safely, efficiently, and properly
• Provide innovative solutions to improve plant reliability, performance, and safety
• Fabricate Plant components as needed
• Cutting, welding, motor drive component repairs, steel component relining, and daily plant inspections are common tasks.
• Perform minor repairs to mobile equipment.
• Operate equipment (loader, manlift, skidsteer, forklift, truck crane, etc.) to perform necessary tasks. Equipment task training available.
• Perform Tasks and operate equipment (CAT 980 or 966 is common) as needed to support production
• Perform routine documentation (i.e. Hazard Assessment, Hot Work Permit, confines space permits, etc.)

• Minimum of 1-2 yearsexperience working in an asphalt plant
• Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with motor drive component repairs, steel component relinin and daily plant inspections
• Experience operating heavy equipment
