Building Maintenance Instructor

As a Building Maintenance Instructor for Adults with Disabilities, you will be responsible for educating individuals, providing assistance, guidance, and advocacy to help them overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals in the building maintenance field.

Essential Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct self-building inspections on a daily basis.
  • Reviews the building repairs spreadsheet.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in a variety of maintenance skills.
  • Instructing on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Inventory of all tools and supplies on a spreadsheet.
  • Demonstrating proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for monthly worksite training data.
  • Works independently and as a team.

Education/Experience

  • General Knowledge on all facets of building and maintenance.
  • Ability to use and care for building tools and equipment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Vocational training.
  • HVAC Technician Certifications are a PLUS.

Requirements

  • Must have a Valid California driver's license
  • Must be over 21 years old
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background and Drug screen in accordance with California Law.

Typical work activities involve frequent grasping of tools and objects, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling/reaching below and above shoulder level.

Hours: 8 am-3:30 pm M-F.

Additional hours as needed may arise.
