Job Description
The Building Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of multiple University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences buildings, ensuring facility safety, functionality, space integrity, and regulatory compliance. As a key member of UAMS Building & Space Management, the Building Manager is responsible for a wide range of facility and space management activities, providing a high level of customer service while collaborating closely with stakeholders across UAMS. This includes serving as a liaison to Engineering & Operations, Planning, Design & Construction, Environmental Services, IT, Environmental/Occupational Health & Safety, and Security Support Services. The Building Manager proactively monitors building conditions, conducts environmental and safety rounds, and coordinates resolution of operational, compliance, and facility-related issues across assigned buildings. This role facilitates space planning, occupant moves, and facility reconfigurations while maintaining the integrity of UAMS space assets and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, NCES/FICM space standards, and applicable healthcare, life safety, and regulatory requirements.
