Responsible for delivery and pickup of equipment to construction sites, cleaning, maintaining, and warehousing of equipment as well as operating equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers, forklifts, skid loaders and aerial lifts for equipment facilities.  

Accountabilities

• Securely load construction equipment in compliance with safety and DOT regulations


• Clean and inspect the tools and equipment 


• Basic maintenance of the tools and equipment 


• Maintain a driver log in compliance with DOT regulations


• Provide equipment suggestions to construction sites as needed 


• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications 

• Member of local Laborers Union 


• Minimum three years commercial driving experience 


• Commercial construction experience preferred


• Experience with heavy equipment loading and unloading, as well as hauling experience preferred 


• Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License 


• High school diploma required

Preferred Qualifications 

• Knowledge of DOT regulated driving requirements 


• Basic equipment preventative maintenance skills


• Organization and planning skills, as well as attention to detail 


• Strong verbal and written communications skills 


• Must be capable of meeting the DOT driver requirements   

Physical Requirements 

Position requires sitting, walking, standing, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, reading, seeing, speaking, hearing, listening, organizing, inputting and interpreting data and information, operating office, and field equipment, using a keyboard, viewing a computer screen, and use of a mobile telephone. 

This person must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. 

The working environments consist of exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and outdoor weather; as well as indoor and climate-controlled settings.
