Ground Up Private APM

Job Description

Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day oversight of ground-up commercial and multifamily construction projects. Support project lifecycle activities including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and closeout. Manage and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders to ensure timely project progression. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and ownership teams to maintain project alignment. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting through platforms such as Procore (or similar systems). Participate in job site meetings and assist with ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Monitor project schedules and proactively identify and help resolve potential risks or delays.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Ground Up Private APM should have:

  • 3-6+ years of experience in construction project management or assistant project management
  • Hands-on experience supporting ground-up construction projects in the commercial and/or multifamily sectors required
  • Strong familiarity with construction processes including submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Proficiency with project management software; Procore experience is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
