Summary: 


Mortenson is currently seeking a Receptionist with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. 


The hourly compensation range for this role is $20.67 -$27.88. This range is adjusted for Seattle, WA by increasing the overall range by 10%.


RESPONSIBILITIES 


Provide general administrative support



  1. Greet guests, provide guest badge, and notify appropriate party

  2. Operate multi-line telephone console, utilizing computerized database in answering and transferring calls

  3. Handle queries and provide information to internal and external callers

  4. Schedule conference rooms when requested

  5. Handle mail, shipping, maintain supplies, and clean the kitchen and conference rooms


Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels


Other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  1. Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills

  2. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

  3. Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

  4. Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple administrative tasks

  5. Microsoft Office, Project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level

  6. Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills

  7. Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies to employees and outside parties

  8. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent

  2. Minimum two years experience in a receptionist or customer service function


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


This position requires the following with or without an accommodation; sitting, seeing, hearing, and utilization of a computer and office equipment. The working environment consists of indoor and climate-controlled settings.
