Job Description
Prepare, present, and coordinate all aspects for acceptance of the Construction Quality Control Plan. Maintain the submittal register, Contractor Production Report, Contractor Quality Control Report, Contractor Action Items Report, Preparatory Phase Checklist, Initial Phase Checklist, Quality Specialist Report, Monthly Summary Reports of Tests, Field Test Reports, Rework Items List, and Testing Plan and Log, Meeting Minute and Quality Control Certifications. Ensure the as-built drawings required are kept current daily. Prepare complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications. Accountable for receiving approved submittals from Architect or Engineer and notify the Project Superintendent of potential schedule impact. Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions, including any accepted alternates or addendums with documents. Distribute final requirement documentation to subcontractors and consultants. Schedule all required construction meetings with required personnel, subcontractors, architects, and owners. Prepare correspondence with Owner, Architect, Engineers, Subcontractors, Suppliers, etc. Examples of referenced correspondence include but are not limited to the following items: Schedule of Values, project schedule, memos, request for information, transmittals, and submittals. Document quality and progress of each Subcontractor and Suppliers and update Subcontractors and Suppliers of any changes to the plans, specifications and/or schedule. Responsible for timely completion of all required project close-out documents per contract. Perform and document the three phases of control, final inspections, closeouts, and LEEDs.
Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management and three (3) years of related experience in the type of work being performed on the project (strongly preferred) OR at least five (5) years of related experience and will hold the construction materials technician certified at Level III by the NICET. Certification at an equivalent level by a state or nationally recognized organization (ICC certification as a Commercial Inspector) will be acceptable in lieu of NICET certification. Technical knowledge of quality control processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Willing to travel and relocate, as both may be required.
