We are currently seeking a Senior Project Surveyor with experience in Construction Layout for our Geomatics Division to help develop a growing practice in Florida. Job duties entail all aspects of running a practice, from marketing and client relations, through project execution and delivery. This is a dynamic position and our employee centered culture allows you to create your own destiny with full support of the Practice Area Leader and corporate staff. We are a multi-disciplined Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering and Transportation and Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Services firm. With over employees in 5 offices throughout Florida, we offer comprehensive services in both the private and public sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing client relationships including private clients, local and state agencies
  • Supporting internal Project Managers
  • Ability to train, mentor and motivate staff
  • Business development across market sectors
  • Project Management

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop business
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral presentations and technical writing is essential
  • To perform the job successfully the best candidates will have excellent teamwork and collaboration skills and be able to maintain a positive and pleasant attitude and work environment even in difficult situations.

Candidate should be detail-oriented, highly organized, deadline-focused and a problem solver, able to multi-task, have strong communications skills and business knowledge. Individual must possess independent judgment, excellent organizational skills, public relation skills and the flexibility to coordinate multiple projects with frequent interruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Florida P.S.M. License (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 Years of experience
  • Experience in multiple segments of Land Surveying, Construction Layout and permitting with our local and state regulatory agencies, and good relationships and experience working with local Contractors
  • Construction layout (or stake-out) experience in transferring engineering and architectural design plans to a physical job site and setting stakes and marks to guide construction
  • Establishing the precise horizontal (location) and vertical (elevation) positions for building corners, foundations, roads, and utilities, ensuring the project aligns with building codes and boundary lines
  • FDOT experience is a plus
