Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead all phases of CTG/CCGT project execution (development through COD)
Manage EPC contractors and OEMs (e.g., GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi)
Establish and maintain project scope, schedule, and budget (typically $300MM$1B+)
Ensure alignment with commercial, regulatory, and operational requirements
Drive decision-making and problem resolution across multidisciplinary teams
Engineering & Technical Coordination
In collaboration with our project engineering team and Owner's Engineer, this candidate shall be knowledgeable on:
Gas turbine and steam turbine specifications and integration
HRSG design and performance
Balance of plant (BOP) systems (cooling water, fuel gas, electrical systems)
Phased construction approach
Grid interconnection requirements
Environmental permits
All applicable building and national codes
Construction Management duties
Oversee site construction activities for:
Civil works and foundations
Turbine installation and alignment
HRSG erection
Electrical and I&C installation
Monitor contractor productivity, safety, and quality performance
Lead site progress reporting and milestone tracking
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) duties
Champion a strong safety culture and zero-incident mindset
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
Oversee environmental compliance during construction and startup
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or other related field of study Required
Master's degree or MBA (preferred)
1015+ years of experience in power generation or heavy industrial projects
7+ years managing large EPC projects ($100MM+)
Demonstrated experience with:
Gas turbine projects (Frame units, aeroderivatives)
Combined-cycle plant construction (11 or larger)
Proven track record delivering projects:
On schedule
Within budget
Meeting performance guarantees
Knowledge of gas system design and operations including gas flow, construction, contracts, and emergency response.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal operating codes and construction codes
Proficiency with personal computers, construction scheduling software, Microsoft Excel, Power Point Presentations, and other computer software
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of:
CTG and CCGT plant design and operation
HRSG systems and thermodynamic cycles
High-voltage systems and grid interconnection
Familiarity with OEM platforms
Certifications (Preferred)
PMP (Project Management Professional)
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
Required Qualifications for Position
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or other related field of study
5+ years' experience managing construction related projects
3+ years' experience working with pipeline construction contractors
3+ years' experience working with project budgets
Valid Driver's License
Travel Percentage: 30 - 40%
Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
$40 - $90 an hour Salaries for all positions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, total years of experience in the industry, education, skills, and qualifications.
